THE DISHCOVERY / KITCHEN RULEBOOK
Terms & Conditions
October 2026 • thedishcovery.com
The ground rules for kits, boxes and home cooking.
01 / Before you start cooking
TheDishcovery is the brand under which this website and its associated services are operated. These Terms & Conditions govern browsing, ordering Dish Kits, requesting The Passport Box, subscribing to The Sunday Dish and using interactive cooking features at https://thedishcovery.com/ (the “Site”). “We” refers to the business operating the Site under the TheDishcovery brand. These Terms do not override rights that cannot legally be waived. Our Privacy Policy separately explains how information is handled.
02 / What is actually in a Dish Kit
Dish Kits contain the listed spices, pastes, sauces, dried or shelf-stable pantry items, occasional nonfood accessories where described, and recipe guidance for a particular dish. The Site explains that fresh ingredients are normally purchased separately by the customer. Individual kit pages and the information supplied with the product control the actual contents; photos and recipe illustrations are not promises that unlisted fresh food is included. Some kits serve four, while individual products may have different yields, such as the advertised pastry kit serving twelve.
03 / Ingredient lists, labels and allergens
Food products can contain or be manufactured near common allergens, including wheat, soy, sesame, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, milk and eggs, depending on the particular item. Ingredients and allergen declarations on the actual package should be checked before preparation or consumption; recipes and website summaries may not include every manufacturing or cross-contact detail. We must provide legally required food labeling and truthful product information and cannot shift those obligations to customers. If you have a serious allergy or uncertain ingredient compatibility, do not consume a product until the information is verified with support and, when appropriate, a healthcare professional.
04 / Storage, handling and expiry
Follow each item’s packaging instructions for storage, refrigeration after opening, use-by or best-before dates, and preparation. Sauces and pastes may have different requirements from dry spices; a generic “shelf-stable” description does not replace the label. Do not use packaging that arrives compromised, leaking or otherwise unsafe. Contact support@thedishcovery.com about damaged, incorrect or potentially unsafe products. Nothing here limits statutory rights or remedies for unsafe or misdescribed goods.
05 / Recipe timing and food safety
Cooking times, servings, spice levels and recipe suggestions are estimates for ordinary home kitchens, not guarantees. Safe cooking depends on ingredient freshness, hygiene, storage, equipment, altitude and the food being prepared. Use a food thermometer where appropriate, avoid cross-contamination, observe current public-health food-safety guidance and exercise particular care with raw meat, fish, eggs and seafood. Ceviche or other preparations involving raw or lightly cooked seafood can present heightened risks, especially for pregnant or immunocompromised people. A recipe is not medical or nutritional advice.
06 / Prices, carts and checkout
Prices displayed on the Site are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. A cart is a shopping tool, not a reservation or accepted order. Before payment, checkout should disclose the applicable product total, shipping and taxes and any material conditions of a promotion. By authorizing payment, the buyer agrees to the displayed charge for that order. We may decline an unaccepted order for a legitimate reason such as unavailability or suspected fraud; any money captured for an unfulfilled order must be handled in accordance with law.
07 / Online payment, one order at a time
Individual Dish Kits are purchased through online checkout. Payment providers may process card or other payment information and apply their own terms. We may use proportionate fraud checks and respond to chargebacks, but we do not assert a right to retain payment for undelivered goods contrary to applicable law. Customers should review the final checkout amount and delivery details before submitting an order.
08 / Passport Box: the offer
The Site advertises The Passport Box at $45 per box, ordinarily containing three Dish Kits from different countries, with U.S. shipping included. Customers can express a preference for monthly or every-two-month delivery and a heat level. The stated aim of avoiding repeat dishes is a program description; if availability prevents the promised assortment, we must notify the customer and offer an appropriate lawful resolution rather than silently substitute materially different goods.
09 / Passport Box: manual confirmation, not auto-renewal
Under the confirmed operating model, choosing a cadence or adding a Passport Box does not authorize future automatic charges. Each box requires separate customer confirmation and payment. A displayed delivery frequency is a planning preference, not an automatically renewing subscription. A customer may request to skip or discontinue future boxes before placing the next confirmed order; this does not retroactively cancel a previously accepted and paid order. If recurring billing is ever introduced, separate clear disclosures, affirmative authorization, cancellation methods and any legally required notices must be implemented first.
10 / Shipping within the United States
The current shipping offer is limited to U.S. destinations. The Site advertises free U.S. shipping on individual orders over $50, and shipping included with Passport Boxes. Any threshold calculation, delivery limitations or additional charges must be disclosed clearly before payment. Estimated transit times are not guaranteed arrival dates unless expressly promised. For delayed or unshipped orders, applicable notice, cancellation and refund requirements remain in effect.
11 / Returns, damaged goods and refunds
No general voluntary return window or blanket “no returns” policy has been confirmed for this Site, so these Terms do not invent one. For an incorrect, missing, damaged, spoiled, unsafe or otherwise nonconforming product, contact support@thedishcovery.com with the order information and relevant details. We will address the issue in accordance with applicable law and any specific promise made at purchase. A customer should not be told that opening a package automatically eliminates all statutory remedies. Any discretionary return or exchange arrangement must be communicated accurately before it is relied upon.
12 / Food Passport and reward stamps
The Site offers browser-saved country stamps when a dish card is opened or a kit is added, and advertises 15% off a next order after six stamps. Stamps are stored only in the current browser under the confirmed configuration; they may disappear when browser data is cleared and are not guaranteed to transfer between devices. Reward eligibility and redemption should follow the offer as actually displayed, without undisclosed conditions. The reward has no stated cash value and should not be represented as a cash payment.
13 / Fridge Raid, Flavor Map and recipe tools
Fridge Raid suggests dishes based on ingredients selected by a visitor; Flavor Map organizes dishes by heat and richness; serving adjustments and timers assist home cooking. These are convenience tools, not professional dietary, allergy, medical or food-safety assessments. A suggestion does not verify that an ingredient is safe, available, fresh or compatible with a dietary restriction. Users remain responsible for reviewing labels and following safe preparation practices; the Site remains responsible for its own legally required disclosures.
14 / The Sunday Dish newsletter
The Sunday Dish is a free, voluntary newsletter about our own recipes, kits and offers. Signing up is separate from placing an order, and a purchase does not automatically constitute marketing consent. Subscribers may opt out through the email link or by contacting support@thedishcovery.com. Necessary order-related messages may continue. Personal information practices are explained in the companion Privacy Policy.
15 / Using our recipes and creative work
The Site’s original photographs, copy, layouts, recipe-card presentation, software interfaces and branding may be protected by intellectual-property rights belonging to us or our licensors. You may browse and use a purchased recipe card for personal cooking and share lawful links. Mass scraping, commercial reproduction, resale of copied content, impersonation and attempts to bypass security are prohibited except to the extent a legal exception applies. General culinary ideas and unprotectable facts are not claimed as exclusive property.
16 / Third-party services and linked material
Checkout, delivery and infrastructure may rely on outside providers. A third party’s own terms may govern its separate service, and links to other websites do not necessarily indicate endorsement. This provision does not release us from duties owed as the seller, including responsibility imposed by consumer-protection or product-safety law.
17 / Availability, changes and substitutions
We may update the catalog, recipes and Site features, and temporary interruptions may occur. Material changes to an accepted order require appropriate customer notice and treatment under law. We will not silently replace an ordered product with a materially different ingredient or item where consent or another remedy is required. Published information may be corrected prospectively; accepted orders are not retroactively rewritten by a website update.
18 / Practical limits of information
Flavor descriptions, regional culinary notes and recipe instructions are intended for general cooking enjoyment. Taste, spice tolerance, cooking results and preparation time vary. To the extent legally permitted, we do not guarantee a particular personal outcome from a recipe or interactive recommendation. This disclaimer does not negate express product promises, food-labeling obligations or nonwaivable consumer rights.
19 / Liability boundaries
To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or unforeseeable consequential losses arising solely from nontransactional Site tools may be limited. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for unsafe or defective food, fraud, certain personal injuries, willful misconduct, or mandatory purchase remedies. No universal zero-dollar cap applies to paid customer orders.
20 / Misuse and indemnity
A person who intentionally commits fraud, infringes another’s rights, attacks the Site or otherwise engages in unlawful misuse may, where legally permitted, be responsible for reasonable losses and qualifying third-party claims directly caused by that conduct. This provision does not make customers indemnify the seller for the seller’s own negligence, mislabeling, product defects or unlawful conduct.
21 / Problems and legal remedies
For an order problem, safety concern or question about these Terms, write to support@thedishcovery.com. We welcome an opportunity to resolve issues promptly. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive court in an unidentified state. Applicable law, courts and consumer remedies are determined by the relevant legal rules. Nothing prevents a consumer from exercising rights that cannot be waived.
22 / Updates and how the documents fit together
These Terms are effective October 2026 and may be updated prospectively. Changes do not retroactively alter accepted purchases unless lawfully agreed. If a provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions continue where legally possible. The Privacy Policy governs the handling of personal information; these Terms govern orders, content and use of the Site. Headings are for navigation, not to narrow a substantive protection.
